Is Refined Sugar Good For Your Health?

Do you know diet sodas or diet coke do not help you lose weight, your risk of being overweight is about 33% when you drink 1 or 2 cans of soda per day, and this risk increases to as much as 55% when you drink 1 or 2 cans of the said  diet soda instead?

Refined sugar poisons the body: Refined sugar has a poisoning, drugging effect on the body, refined sugar gets fermented in the body and carbonic acid, acetic acid and alcohol are formed. Acetic acid destroys and burns the cells of the body, leading to paralysis effect on nerves. The alcohol has a damaging effect on the kidneys, nerve and brain functions associated with concentration, observation and locomotion.

Sugar causes problem of the pancreas: Uncontrolled consumption of sugar is verified to cause pancreas to have problems. This problems result from high volume of sucrose making the pancreas to over work and then malfunction, when the pancreas starts to malfunction, diabetes and hypoglycemia results. Hypoglycemic is a medical emergency that involves an abnormally diminished content of glucose in the blood. Headache, irritability, depression, fatigue, inability to concentrate, and being upset for no reason are some of the symptoms of hypoglycemia.

Sucrose leaches minerals form the body: Sucrose is seen to leach vitamin B from the body, depletes calcium, disrupts the nervous system, and causes tooth decay, falling hair, circulation problems and heart troubles among other problems. Consuming a bottle of soft drink a day have the capacity to add as much as 12 pounds of weight to the body in a single year because of its high sugar/sucrose content.

What is more surprising is the contradiction in the medical circle about this research. If we dig deeper, a section of the medical practitioners claim there is no effect whatsoever while the others claim there is a big link between the two.

My gut feeling is, if someone is paying you to do researches on a subject concerning their business, who are you likely to favor? The sponsor or the public? Who doesn’t know that BIG pharmaceutical companies and their allies pay to sponsor some of these biased researches?

There is also a big link between consumption of sugar and acne breakout, this was denied for over 50 years until the truth eventually came out. Think about it, how many people would have suffered between the time they started the research and the time the real findings were finally revealed? This isn’t fair in my opinion but we live in a world that isn’t fair right?

A strong link exist between excessive sugar consumption and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The effect of sucrose could be very deadly as a lot of misbehavior such as rape, murder alcoholism, murder, and discipline problems in children are just a few caused by sucrose in the body. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is seen to cause violent behavior. When individuals come down form a sugar high, they become grumpy, irritable and may become violent as well.

Sugar is addictive: a lot of us find it impossible to stop eating sugar. Eating lots of sugar deplete zinc in the body, this in effect dull our sense of taste. An altered taste leads to the need of more sugar to give the same taste of satisfaction every time.

Sugar is seen to impair the immune system: Eating 100g of carbohydrate such as doughnuts, cakes and cookies can reduce the ability of white blood cells by as much as 50%, this is because the environment becomes toxic for the cells to function. They function best in non-toxic environment where all is regulated. Refined sugar are not natural but chemicals ingested into the body.

Refined sugar is simply man made products which inhibit our body system to function normally, the body system needs only sugar from natural food.

Sugar causes type 2 diabetes and elevates cholesterol:

A lot of us are familiar with how sugar in excess leads to diabetes by elevating insulin levels, but as time goes on, the cell become resistant to insulin, and this causes a problem called type 2 diabetes. Also, elevated insulin levels trigger the liver to produce more cholesterol and triglycerides.

A medical research involving 40,000 people published by JAMA Internal Medicine proves that sugar is the bigger problem when it comes to Heart Attacks. Want to know how long it took to come to that conclusion?

40 years! 40 long years. How many people have died as a result of the bad advice given by medical doctors which reassures patients that they can keep taking their sugar and not be bothered about high cholesterol level?

This recent study now shows that your risk of heart attack doubles if sugar makes up more than 20 percent of your calories. Interesting, I discovered this the hard way. The more sugar I took, the more issues I had, the less, the less acne breakout. My take is, we are moving towards a time where we have to take a serious look at our health and trust our guts when faced between recommendations of medical doctors.

This further supports the saying that goes “get a second opinion”. Really, your health is worth that second and third and even fourth opinion.

Triglycerides are a type of fat found in the blood, too much of this fat raises the risk of coronary artery disease.

Sugar thereafter create a continuous demand for more of sugar thereby raising insulin level in the body. Insulin instructs the body to store more fat every time.

An average person consumes 150 pounds of sugar per year

Sugar can lead to osteoporosis: sugar creates an acidic environment in the body tissues, thus makes the body cry for alkaline foods. If our food is deficient of calcium, the body goes ahead and pull out calcium form the bones and teeth to rebalance the body’s pH, and one may develop bone loss and osteoporosis if care is not taken.
